What Causes Seizures?
Seizures occur when there's a sudden burst of electrical activity in the brain. This disrupts normal brain function and can cause changes in behavior, movements, feelings, and consciousness.
Epilepsy Worldwide
Epilepsy affects more than 50 million people worldwide, including around 6 million in Europe—a number that corresponds to the number of diabetes patients.
Upto 7% people experience atleast 1 seizure in their life.
About 0.5–1% of Germans live with epilepsy. Additionally, 5–7% will experience at least one seizure in their life.

Cycling Safety in Germany
German studies show that the probability of accidents is 1.68 times higher for cyclists with epilepsy. Despite the risks, many continue to cycle while others avoid it completely.

People with epilepsy can lead full, active lives. With proper management, many can work, drive, exercise, and participate in most activities. Education and awareness help reduce stigma and improve quality of life.
